Leadership strengths which mutate to the Dark Side of personality when pressure starts to overwhelm
The Hogan Development Survey (HDS) is based upon research into the derailment of leaders. It is a unique instrument for examining how ‘over emphasised’ behavioural strengths can become dysfunctional, resulting in the manifestation of the Dark Side of our personality.
In most work settings we exhibit normal behaviour, – as described by our HPI (Bright Side) profile. However on the (possibly few) occasions we exhibit our Dark Side behaviour, this has a very high negative impact on our performance in work, our social interactions, and indeed our general sense of well being.
The HDS enables us to identify:
- Behavioural strengths that need to be careful managed and are critical to leadership success
- Potential Dark Side characteristics that if left unchecked, can lead to leadership derailment and result a disastrous impact on a department or a whole organisation
