Using Hogan Psychometrics for Selection

Predicting Occupational Performance

The Hogan Personality Inventory (The Bright Side questionnaire) is highly effective at predicting occupational performance, and is very useful for initial screening of applications and producing a short list of candidates for interview. The instrument also provides clear indications of relevant potential strengths and weaknesses, which need careful scrutiny during the interview or assessment centre.

Predicting behaviour under situations of high stress

The Hogan Development Survey (The Dark Side questionnaire) is a particularly relevant tool for assessing suitability of candidates for appointment to senior or sensitive positions. It identifies potential "dark side" aspects of personality that can be masked at interview, but which becomes revealed when a person is working under particularly high pressure.

Together the Hogan Personality Inventory (The Bright Side) and the Hogan Development Survey (The Dark Side), provide a unique combination of psychometric instruments, for aiding the most comprehensive range of selection decisions.
